This Island is a walkers paradise. As it’s way off the beaten track there are not as many transportation services found on the Island.

There is a bike hire located by the old pier on the Island which is about a 40 minute walk from the new pier. In summer months they may be available from the new pier but out of season we recommend that you reserve them ahead, or bring your own.

How long does it take to walk around the Island?
This is a great island for walking as its only about 4km by 2.5km. The Island has trails and pathways where you can stroll along taking in the amazing surrounding.
How long does it take to cycle around Inis Meain?
It would take about 2-4 hours to cycle around the island and see all the main sights.
Doolin Ferry operates a fast ferry fleet from Doolin to the Aran Islands. The ‘Aran Islands Express’ and ‘Doolin Express’ ferries are the largest, fastest, and most comfortable ships in Doolin.
